We stayed at Maya in a connected Family room. We would definitely recommend Iberostar to anyone looking to visit Mexico. Thanks to everyone on this board for sharing so much information, it was very helpful. Always greeting guests, making the activities fun and enjoyable. Nareda, Dzoara, Jimen, Daniel, Gigi, Mar and Andres were awesome. We looked forward to what was on the schedule each day we were there. The entertainment team really make your day enjoyable and so fun. The morning Yoga with Isabella is relaxing and challenging. The food at each restaurant, the Star Rock Cafe, the shopping mall and even the beach food/buffet is always delicious. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful, shuttles run constantly should you need/want a ride. They are overly helpful, extremely friendly and kind. When you arrive, you are instantly greeted by a staff member. We visited at the end of May and beginning of June 2023. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to return this year and go only my husband and myself. They are fantastic! We were recently here in December 2022 with our two children (7 and 8) and had a blast. We love to travel and typically try a new place each time we visit Mexico, but we loved the Iberostar so much we came for a second time! Our friends at Dream Makers Vacation Services, Lancaster, PA - Amy McHugh and Robyn Ayers - always help us with all of our needs when planning a trip. Both check-in and check-out took only few minutes.… We were already prepared for such course of events and rushed with our stuff to the lobby on foot. At check-out noone came to pick us up from the room. New room was in amazing location, but had broken phone and tv remote, we had them fixed fairly quickly by the repair team. During check-in receptionist gave us wrong floor and we requested room change. In the afternoon those guys just sit there but do not want to work at all. It seems the only chance to get anything non-motorized (free) is between 10 and 11 in the morning. Every time we were given excuses, quoted totally different working hours, lack of staff, bad weather, etc. It took us 5 days to get Hobie catamaran. Waterfall with jaccuzi seems to be not working most of the time. Pools close at 7, which is kind of early for summer. That expectedly doesn't work, but irritates people, so after whistling for 15-20 minutes he just goes home. Lifeguard leaves at 6 and same time for known only to him reason tries to get everyone out of the water. Paraiso Beach has nice sandy seabed, neighbouring resorts have some huge underwater rocks, so almost everyone goes to water at Paraiso Beach section and it can get crowded. Seaweed gets removed promptly from the sand, but not from the water where it can stay for a while before getting washed ashore. Cocktails are way oversweetened and lack real flavor. Beef kebabs (buffet) and pork ribs (steakhouse) were probably the best meat dishes without extra pay. A la carte restaurants are not much better. It isn't all the same every day, dinner has some daily variations e.g. Nothing exciting but quite allright in variety and quality. Iberostar app is extremely helpful and has maps, menus and activity schedules. Internet service is superb in all parts of the resort, even on the beach. Entertainment team does good job with fun pool games and night shows. It's probably the best kids club we ever saw in all-inclusives. Amazing modern kids club with non-stop programs in different areas of the resort complex. Guests can also enter more expensive Lindo and Maya but not to use their restaurants or towel stations. Big beautiful pool worthy of bringing your own inflatables. Stayed 9 days in August with wife and two kids.
